Before Georgia was a booming film production state, I was born in Savannah, GA to two cops for parents. Suffice to say, no one in my immediate or extended family was in the arts. While I was prompted to go towards a "safe" career, I studied and had a latent desire to study art as young as the age of eight. At 14, I learned that I could take my passion for all the movies I loved watching and start making my own, combining many of the arts I loved partaking in into one. Seven years later, I would graduate with plenty of knowledge and new found collaborators to do just that. For the last 11 years, I've lived in Brooklyn working on all types of productions, from one man bands to fully staffed commercials and short narrative films. However, my heart has always been in feature length narratives and documentary. This lead me to making many short documentaries with other filmmakers for companies such as CNN/Courageous, VOX, and The New York Times which lead to my first Emmy Award nomination. After many years, I was tapped by my fellow film school alum, Charles Curran, to help him shoot and finish his feature directorial debut, "See Know Evil" (2018). Post pandemic, the filmmaking climate and its turbulence lead me to believe my career may be over. Then, in the fall of 2023, 23-24 ALA President Emily Drabinski and Associate Producer Flynn Murray tapped me to direct our soon to come feature length documentary, "A People Place."
