Having been employed in a variety of film and television positions, Michael has actualized his passions in writing and directing as well as post-production.

With credits ranging from series, reality television programs, and local PSAs, Sang has countlessly proven his craftsmanship. With every opportunity that has revealed itself to Michael, whether by force or fate, he has approached them with a desire to perform and a willingness to do anything necessary.

All while probably muttering some Simpsons quotes along the way.

Director Statement

In a world of instant gratification, instant pots and instant fame, Killing for Spark poured out of me overnight. Like a newfound gluten intolerance, I knew this was the time to tell the story and push it on my friends and family. Killing for Spark opens as a story of a young couple trapped in a dormant relationship. At the centre is a young man and a young woman fighting to dislike each other. Eventually, like in the romantic comedy...Serendipity, the two find a taste for bloodshed that sparks their lost passion for each other. Set in the modern world I use the film to poke a stick at love, life, technology and what it means to mix them in our lives. At every stage in every aspect of filmmaking I want it to be a party - at times myself being the only attendee. During the writing process, on set and in the dark dungeons of the editing room, the Killing for Spark family breathed life into each stage. So we invite you to sit down and enjoy the party.
