Kilimo 2 (Second Harvest)
In the future the world is suffering a terrible drought and hunger crisis. African scientists believe they can find a solution deep in the galaxy, and send one of their own on the world's first light speed voyage to fulfill the quest. The scientist leaves behind his wife and his son. Decades pass and the crisis worsens but still every morning the son watches the dawn skies for a sign of his father's return.

Warren Reed was born in the UK, was educated in the USA, and is currently an Assistant Lecturer in literature at the Open University of Tanzania. Warren was inspired to create Kilimo 2 by the phrase, ‘waves of hope’, and he created most of the models and all the animation with Blender. He is also a published author, and his book Hoddu: stories was published in January 2015. He worked with his wife on Our Story, their first feature film.
Neema Reed was born in Tanzania, and after working in sales and marketing changed focus to film. Her directorial debut, Our Story was an Official Selection at the Luxor African Film Festival 2015. She is also co-director for Kilimo 2, and is currently preparing another feature film.
Hard working, never losing hope and patient endurance, these too are qualities of an epic hero.
