Director Statement

Having this opportunity to create
something that came from the depths of my
heart. I would like to share my
beginnings and mishaps about my first
love. I have never experienced love
before nor have I thought I would find it
in the most unexpected places. What has
become admiration has turned into deep
desire that taught me a lot of lessons.
The main characters dilemma of
how he could tell his true feelings
despite of external factors to a person
he admires. Leaves us the feeling being
trapped with him. The story would
encompass the anxiety of not able to
speak up about our deepest emotion. The
characters attempts to do something to
show it. To answer the thousand questions
of what if’s has played in my mind.
I was also inspired about my life
back home in our province. Where
everything is simple and sweet. My
memories of my high school life where I
would go to hills and wonder what my life
would be in the future.

How I missed
those days where I just dream and
wandered off to disappear.
The environment would play a role in the
film. To immerse the audience on how my
life was like back then. I depict my
place as some sort of dream world where
you would only see the beauty of nature
and how it compliments to the character’s
personality.

The story is a fusion of my first
experience in love and my life when I was
young. Both of these elements share a
common ground which is sacrifice. I had
to sacrifice my old life and move to
manila in order for me to grow. I
sacrificed my feelings to make that
person happy and whole. Both of these
experiences gave me lessons in life that
I would treasure for a long time.
