Khafifa | Chapters II & III - Vision & Light

Khafifa is a post-apocalyptic short series set 10220 days after the nuclear catastrophe on Earth.

The entire planet is nothing but one gigantic dune. Some areas are still inhabited by humans – survivors and their children, some of them born after the nuclear catastrophe, having no clue of life that had existed before the nuclear disaster.

Khafifa is one of those children. She is in her late twenties. Her mother was one of the survivors of the nuclear catastrophe, however, in the following years she had perished from the painful radiation poisoning. Khafifa and the rest of the humans that inhabit the planet are all poisoned by the radiation that will eventually kill them – marking the end of human existence on Earth. Nevertheless, Khafifa and the other survivors are not giving up – they scavenge whatever they find in the dunes, whatever helps them to rebuild the society. They believe. They hope.

Khafifa خفيفة in Arabic means light.
