I've loved films from the time I was a child. My family would have movie nights and my dad would always find the latest movies for us to watch. Now, I'm on my journey towards becoming a filmmaker and director. I worked on the Rihanna Superbowl promotion video "Run This Town" shot in Barbados. I have interned and presently work freelance with a Barbadian film studio. This film, When Kites Fly came out of my experience from working on the Rihanna Superbowl shoot. I won a grant to produce the film and as a Barbadian, I am inspired by the beautiful diverse culture of my homeland. I wanted to learn more about the culture of kites and explore the meaning of kites within Barbadian community. I hope you enjoy my film.
