Keve Pastor is a self-taught filmmaker with a passion for history, born on October 22, 1999, in the tranquil town of Serrinha, located in the interior of Bahia, Brazil. From an early age, he displayed a deep interest in cinematic art and the study of historical narratives, driven by his curious and perfectionistic nature.

His journey into the world of cinematography began in 2017, when at the age of 17, he attended the finals of an inter-school film festival. Unsatisfied with the quality of the short films presented, he recognized in himself the ability to produce standout content. Thus, fueled by his passion and insatiable curiosity, he decided to gather some friends and create his own short film. Despite lacking prior knowledge in this realm of production, he embarked on this challenge with enthusiasm.

Determined to master all aspects related to the creation of his project, he embarked on a journey of tireless self-learning. He spent days immersed in Jackie Chan's filmography, dedicating himself especially to action movies and meticulously studying the elements that composed this genre. His attention to detail and relentless pursuit of perfection led him to explore various areas of film production.

This deep immersion in film analysis culminated in the conception of his first short film, titled "The Phoenix's Qi." Despite the virtually non-existent resources, Keve applied his passion and creativity to every aspect of the project. The experience of creating "The Phoenix's Qi" solidified his love for cinema and affirmed his determination to pursue a career in this diverse and challenging field.

From that point on, he intensified his efforts to enhance his skills in all areas of his interest. His perfectionism compelled him to seek a profound understanding of each stage of the filmmaking process. The year 2019 marked a significant step as he secured a scholarship to study audiovisual arts in São Paulo. However, realizing that the course didn't meet his expectations in terms of depth and effectiveness, Keve opted for a self-taught approach, seeking comprehensive and practical learning.

Advancing toward his dream with tenacity, he delved into independent studies, participated in workshops, and collaborated with other filmmakers and artists. His innate curiosity led him to explore every angle of film production, and his pursuit of perfection motivated him to master areas such as direction, screenwriting, editing, color grading, cinematography, and even acting.

Throughout his journey filled with challenges and achievements, Keve Pastor has emerged as a resilient and multifaceted filmmaker. His deep commitment to the art of cinematography, coupled with his passion for history, continues to shape his career in a unique way.
