Kerryn Williams is an Australian Director, Writer and Composer. He was born in 1986 in Sydney Australia and quickly found a fondness for telling stories from an early age. After finishing school Kerryn quickly became involved in filmmaking regularly with screenwriting stage plays and helping to develop short films. In 2008 he began work on a web series based on DC Comics’ Harley Quinn and left for Los Angeles California in 2012. Not long after his departure he linked up with Mechanical Minds where he co-developed the idea and wrote Red Queen - A Harley Quinn inspired film, which originally backed by one of the biggest studios in Hollywood was filmed in Sydney. He returned to Sydney to work on other films and helped develop scripts for several production companies. In late 2015 he joined with JOO’s productions where he wrote and directed a short titled ‘Vampyr’ however due to unforeseen circumstances the production was shelved in early 2016. Determined to continue his passion for film he was contacted by Grigori films to help complete Lancelot Rises as Second Unit Director. During production the company was contacted by Greg Grunberg through The Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy based on the Central Coast to produce a short based on the Star Wars universe for Charity. Together with the help of producer Ciaran Jordan and producer Justin Banks, he helped craft the screenplay from a story written by Mr Banks. Keryn then Directed the short film called HERO starring Australian Horror Icon John Jarratt famous for his work in Wolf Creek. The film which he also composed the score for went on to acquire numerous accolades in the festival circuit including Cannes Short Film Festival and Australia’s prestigious AACTA short film competitions. Kerryn has completed work on a number of short films and continues to write and direct based out of Sydney, Australia.
