Ken Smith - 60 years at the Wheel
We follow New Zealand motor racing legend Ken Smith as he embarks on his 60th season of motor racing. Over the season we meet his fellow racers and look back at his past achievements (3x NZ Grand Prix winner, 2 X Penang GP, Malaysian GP). Kenny is famous for helping young racers with their careers. As a surprise his most famous protege, five time Indycar champion Scott Dixon takes Kenny drifting. At 76 Kenny shows no signs of slowing down and for his 60th season he plans to race in the USA for the first time.

Adam works as a commercial filmmaker a role he's pursued for almost 20 years (http://www.adammjones.com). This is Adam's first feature documentary. He previously directed 'Secondhand Planet' a 1hr documentary (TV3 New Zealand) on band Opshop making their hit album and has been creating video content for 'The Fast Files' a motorsport channel since 2016.
In New Zealand there's this old guy out racing with all the young racers, that guy is Kenny Smith. When he's not racing he's always helping those young racers achieve their dreams. Kenny raced with the Formula One stars of the 60s and 70s and he's helped some of New Zealand's most successful racers like Scott Dixon and Brendon Hartley. For years I thought someone's got to tell this story. It took a while to convince Kenny that we should make a film on him as he's an old school, low key, private guy and it's taken another couple of years to complete the film. So now it's time to get Kenny Smith - 60 years at the Wheel out to the world.
