Director Statement

This film is a very personal and comes from my heart. It is a short proof of concept for a feature called "Runaways" which is a film about three boys who decide to run away in search of treasure. Think Stand by me meets Goonies. This idea came from my childhood; when I was a kid, I watched Stand by Me, (my favorite film) and thought it would be so cool to run away from my home with my friends. I was abused and often times to get through the day I would watch movies, or fantasize about running away. So, as an adult, I began to wonder, what would happen if I did decide to run away when I was a kid? Thus, this idea was born.
