Kaushik Sharma is a resourceful Guwahati-based filmmaker who transforms grit and a lone camera into raw, introspective films exploring modern obsessions.
Kaushik Sharma here, straight outta Guwahati, Assam, where I traded in a "sure thing" life for a camera, a story, and zero-budget dreams. I've spent over a decade as a video editor, crafting everything from weddings to wildlife docs, news, etc but never quite like this. My debut short, "The Script That Stole Time," is my love letter—and a little bit of a warning—about our endless digital obsessions.
Shot in a guerrilla, run-and-gun style with a shoe-string budget, no crew, and no clue what I was getting into, this nine-minute odyssey explores the murky line between the real and the digital world. I was the writer, director, DP, editor, costume wrangler, and snack provider, all rolled into one slightly sleep-deprived soul. So, if you're here to watch one guy wrestle tech addiction through pure grit and zero glam, you’re in the right place.

Kaushik’s cinematic spark came from his father’s recounting of classics like Lawrence of Arabia, Casablanca, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, proving you can become a film buff without even seeing the movies.
