Wild Flower Garland

Katu Pootha Malay is a garland of stories offered by a house about finding gold in a dung heap, a patriotic restaurenter, a thief with a song, daughters of the house, a wooden horse and a messenger ghost and ancestors returning as crows. The stories touch upon people, objects, memories and fate of the house. Who do the insect pray to? Where is Vishnu? What happened to the grandfather’s easy chair? The narrator descends from the skies to share stories as many as flies upon a fallen jackfruit.
