Ascending or descending is usually a matter of vertical forces acting upon an object. But some situations only allow the ascent/descent by using horizontal forces. I explore this understanding of the physical world as a metaphor for many things humans have to go through every day.
By setting the film devoid of a specific context, one is left to wonder how such vertical movement is not merely as one dimensional as it seems, in the same way that life is a constant push and pull in the least expected places.
