Katja Tauber is a German cinematographer. At age 18, she moved abroad, where she lived and worked for more than 10 years and discovered her love for visual story telling. In 2016, she returned to Germany, where she studied cinematography at the international film school in Cologne. Her films have been screened at many prestigious festivals, including "Ein bisschen Paris", which won the audience award at the Short Film Festival (2017) in Cologne. The documentary "75/1" received a nomination in the category “Best Editing" at the German Camera Award 2021. Katja Tauber is currently nominated for Best Cinematography at the German Camera Award 2021 for her work on "Mono No Aware". She has shot various films abroad including Colombia, Israel/Palestine, Spain and Taiwan. Katja Tauber lives in Cologne.
