Dr. Katie O’Regan: Writer, Director, Actor, Musician, Poet
Katie O'Regan is a multi-talented creative force with an impressive body of work across various artistic disciplines. She has authored eight plays, over 150 songs, and several academic publications, including her doctoral dissertation on mentoring in the workplace. Her contributions to theater and film have been widely recognized in newspapers and academic journals. As the founder and Director of the Sacred Noise Society and The Star City Film Festival, Katie has become a key figure in fostering creative communities.
Her poetry collection, "Stories From Under My Hats," features 52 powerful short stories from a feminist perspective, offering readers an intimate glimpse into her worldview. Katie has directed and produced 71 productions, with "Good Morning Miss America" standing out as a pivotal work. She took the production off-Broadway to New York in 2019 and adapted it into the feature film wrote the screen play “Give ‘Em Hell Honey," is directed, produced, composed the music for, and starred in as “ Jane Nelson.”

Katie has directed Tennessee Williams’ "Trilogy of the Blues," Keith Carey Green’s "Women Who Work," and her original musical, "The Dream Café Musical." As an actress, she has performed iconic roles, such as "The Dancing Statue of Liberty" in Yakov Smirnoff’s Broadway special and "Kathryn" in "Enemy of the People" on a Midwest tour directed by Diane Paulus.
In addition to her film work, Katie hosts the popular web series "Featured Friday, Filmmakers," and her podcast, "Stories From Under My Hats."
