Katelyn is a multidisciplinary animator and filmmaker. She uses film to explore closeness and distance, using its power to bridge human relationships near and far. The Korean American community at her home in Hackensack, New Jersey continues to inspire her work. She received her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Film and Animation, and has additional practice in Visual Culture Studies. Katelyn's films have premiered in New York as part of the official selections for the Buffalo International Film Festival and the Fingerlakes Film Festival. She is continuing her filmmaking practice in New Jersey, and is an ambassador for the non-profit, Urban Arts Partnership in NYC.
