Karmen Olmo is a creative director, graphic designer, illustrator, author, and professor with over 20 years of experience. She is the co-founder of Happiverso XR-Lab, specializing in workshops and consulting on Metaverse, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. She also co-hosts Hispano Pop, a Hispanic talk show focused on art, culture, well-being, and social impact entrepreneurship.
Karmen is the creator of Happixs, a brand dedicated to promoting happiness through design, products, and events aligned with the UN Global Goals. She authored the book Tu Mundo Happixs: 9 rutas para iluminar días nublados, combining storytelling, illustrations, and exercises to educate about happiness.
As a professor at Universidad Ana G. Méndez, she mentors students in creative entrepreneurship and has founded several initiatives, including the experimental design studio Estudio Estrellas 116. Her projects, such as the Puerto Rico Happiness Festival, emphasize well-being and social impact.
Karmen holds an MFA from Pratt Institute and certifications in happiness coaching and virtual reality. She seamlessly integrates her expertise in design, technology, and the science of happiness to inspire and empower others to create meaningful, impactful work.
