Karl is a creative who places himself where art and design meet. As a designer, he highlights how aesthetics are crucial in captivating the viewer's attention. As an artist, he investigates the connections between humans and non-humans, examining the artificial distinction that separates the world into natural and unnatural. Frequently, his work focuses on the conflicts and relationships present in these areas.
Karl's artistic vision has been deeply influenced by his upbringing in the peatland forest of Kõverdama, Estonia, where he was born and raised. This distinctive environment shapes his artistic creations, shaping his view of the world as a complex network of connections that span all aspects of life, including animate and inanimate entities.
Karl followed his interest in art and design by studying Media Design at Pallas University of Applied Sciences in Estonia. He refined his abilities and expanded his viewpoints by completing a Master's degree in Art & Science at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Austria. Karl keeps pushing the boundaries between art, design, nature, and technology in his ongoing exploration.
