Writer Biography - Derek G Bailey, Stephanie M Byrd

Derek Bailey is an Atlanta based ScreenWriter and Film Producer.

Currently, Derek has completed two feature length scripts and five short scripts with more in the works. In April 2021, the short film “Babies, Drunks, & Fools” marked his first script to be filmed. Scheduled to be filmed in June 2021 will be “Dead by Tomorrow”, “An Ernest Life”, and “Rhodes Rage”.

He is an Iraq War Veteran. In the Army Derek covered all aspects of military operations during his time in service by creating news stories and finding ways to help families connect with their loved ones. Derek received the Bronze Star in 2007 for his tireless work of writing, filming, and postproduction.

Now in civilian life, Derek has returned to his passion of screenwriting that had begun in 2004. When he is not working on his latest script, he enjoys spending time with his family.

This script is BASED ON the birth of the co-writer Stephanie Byrd, who was left in the care of hospital nurses with drugs running thru her body. Born Addicted and abandoned, her life isn't just a life of foster homes and failed adoptions.
