Born in the Czech Republic, Maximillian Němec (aka Omar Zahid) considers himself a global citizen taking full advantage of this by traveling the world and earning his craft in the realm of film TV, music videos, and now publishing. Cutting his teeth in Belfast, Ireland as an assistant to Rainer von Kürten in writing 7 episodes for the TV series Egeria.

Taking on the pen name Omar Zahid, he has gone onto develop his own projects and screenwriting across Europe and finding plaudits with short films and trailer projects such as “Territory of Dust.” A respected screenwriter, and journalist, Omar has built a solid reputation for his work and takes pride in being featured in newspapers, radio segments, and his ongoing involvement in the commercial sector.

His first novel titled “Zero Justice” is a historical epic set in Arizona during the years 1898 and 1899. Many stories from the Wild West have been already told, this story however touches on the legend of one man called John Zero who - like the Phoenix - rose from the ashes, to bring justice to the slaves, and most importantly, to the tyrannical owner of the Gold mines Jack Mordor; also known as One-Eyed Jack, the killer, the racist, the rapist, and governor of Hellberg city.

A genre he is eminently familiar with, the Western is being reborn from the dusty archives and looking to encapsulate the stories and legends in a modern form.
