Geshin Salvador is a prolific Nigerian Storyteller, Screenwriter, Producer, Director and Executive Producer, who is best known for his Comedy-Drama movie, TANWA SAVAGE – the 2nd Highest Grossing Movie in its first week of Cinema Release on January 22, 2021.
Geshin Salvador began his career in 2006 as an actor, which he noted would make him “have an in-depth understanding of how to direct his actors to convey the intricate emotions of his stories,” since he knew he was going to be a film director later on.
In 2016, Geshin Salvador made his directorial debut with the film, LAGOS VIBES, a comedy drama which he also was the Writer, Producer, Director and Co-Executive Producer.
He is the Co-Founder and Director of Operations of GUGURU MEDIA, a multimedia production outfit based in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.
The director intentionally made KUKOYI movie in black-and-white pictures and with no post-production colour correction/treatment because, after initially seeing the graded coloured pictures, it looked too "beautiful and distracting" for the story, and he wanted the pictures to look much closer to reality.
Also, he presented the pictures in an unconventional "odd box" dimension so as to further create an unusual "peek into life" viewing experience.
