I wrote K A L K I at a time when I was missing home the most...even though I was at home. That sense of being present but not feeling in control, a numbing restlessness that continued to wrap my body for nights and for reasons that seemed too necessary then - I couldn't show or talk to anyone about it nor did I feel like opening up that way and so I decided to weild my pen...to unwrap myself from that unsettlement and come back to myself.
