KAINKHOL (My family)

The story of a drunkard father who lost all his wealth due to
a gambling addiction is a tragic one. His life took a turn for
the worse when his daughter eloped with a man much older than
her, causing his family to break apart. His wife left with
their young daughter, and his son, who was also struggling
with drug addiction, couldn't be found. As a result of a
tragic incident, the father was imprisoned for 5 years. After
his release from jail, he returned home with a newfound
determination to reunite his broken family. He realized the
mistakes he had made and sought forgiveness from his wife and
children. With time and effort, he was able to rebuild the
broken relationships and mend the wounds caused by his past
actions. Although it wasn't easy, the father's love and
perseverance eventually brought his family back together. He
learned from his mistakes and became a better father, husband,
and person. This story serves as a reminder that even in the
darkest of times, there is always a chance for redemption and
forgiveness.

Director Biography - Sng Pearson Anal

Sng Pearson is a multi-talented individual belonging to the Anaal Tribe in Chandel district. From a young age, he was drawn towards the world of cinema and in 2004, after completing his XII, he produced his first film "Alekaning" in the local Anaal dialect, making him the youngest filmmaker in Manipur. Despite having no formal training in filmmaking, the local community praised his work and this motivated him to pursue his passion further. He studied music at Patkai Christian College in Nagaland and simultaneously pursued a Multimedia Diploma from ARENA while completing his Bachelor's degree in Shillong. He then went on to do his Masters in Cinema from Asian School of Media Studies, specializing in various aspects such as screenwriting, acting, editing, photography, and videography. With his expertise in these fields, he has made several promotional videos, short films, and documentaries, including one on the Bhudist Marveric, Ladakh and Indian Army. His second feature film "Peral Thingbol (Tree of Secrets)" was well-received by the people of Chandel and won multiple awards at the 2023 Tribal Film Festival. Apart from filmmaking, Sng Pearson is also involved in producing music videos and providing media coverage in his district. He recently launched a film production house called Kankhu Film & Entertainment Society (KFAES) to promote the culture and development of Anaal film. His dedication towards creating meaningful and impactful films has earned him recognition, with his most recent film "DANGTERI" receiving the 3rd best feature film award at the Northeast International Film Festival. Sng Pearson and his team continue to work towards producing better films for their community and for the world.

A broken family is a situation that can often leave individuals feeling hopeless and lost, as though their life is spiraling out of control. For one family, this was their reality until a miraculous turn of events occurred. After years of dysfunction and turmoil, the father finally had a realization that he needed to take action and fix the problems that seemed beyond repair. With determination and perseverance, he worked tirelessly to mend relationships, heal wounds, and create a stable and loving environment for his family. Through his efforts, the family experienced a transformation, and what was once a hopeless and broken situation became one filled with hope, love, and joy. The father's realization and dedication to solving the problems within his family not only brought about positive changes for his loved ones but also served as an inspiration for others facing similar struggles. Through his actions, he proved that even the toughest of situations can be turned around with determination and love. Ultimately, this family's story serves as a reminder that miracles can happen when we choose to face our problems head-on and never give up on those we love.
