Jyo Miyaji is a Japanese/New Zealand born filmmaker based in Naarm/Melbourne, who is a 2022 Graduate of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Jyo’s film credits at the VCA include Make Good Choices (2021), Dancing in Duality (2021), Dream Machine (2021) and Napalm Roses (2022), paired with a myriad of credits in supporting crew roles across other student films. Jyo’s work connects a visually vibrant and detailed world with stories centred around self-discovery and human connection, bridging genres across drama, psychedelic western and romance.
