Director Statement

It has taken several years of hard work to get the film made at this quality for the budget we had. We had over 10,000 actors apply, so the ensemble represents some of the best undiscovered talent America has to offer. No corners were cut, we filmed in 8k Using Atlas anamoprhic lenses with top level sound gear and built a film family who were all subscribed to the belief the JDS were worth investing their time in at the rates we could afford, which was not much more than industry minimums, but everyone got paid there was no exploitation of free/cheap labor on set. As an Australian debut Director, Producer and writer I arrived in the US as the first ever recipient of an E2 Visa for the purposes of making a film carrying little more than a suitcase, a laptop packed full of hopes and dreams and a budget less than the catering costs of most Studio Indies. I am incredibly proud of the final product which features a diverse cast with strong females leads and an original storyline that will hopefully provide relatable characters to teens from around the world with different backgrounds.
