Buckles' film speaks on a very common subject that is no stranger to the media these days, STEREOTYPING AND POLICE BRUTALITY. Runner Up for Pitch Perfect Competition
Edward Buckles is a New Orleans native. He is a graduating senior at Dillard University with a major in film and a minor in theater. In October, Buckles won a pitch competition in the New Orleans Film Festival's 'Pitch Perfect' for his unreleased documentary 'Katrina Babies' which tells the story of the young Katrina victims and how the storm has affected them. Edward also worked under Spike Lee and the 40 Acres and a Mule crew on Lee's latest feature OLDBOY as a intern in October of 2013. Buckles is also currently working as a 2nd AD on a feature length movie entitled 'Rodeo & Juliet'. Edward plans to work as a full time director and writer on his projects as well as others after graduation while studying film in graduate school.
