Jameson DeSantis is a career Flame artist who has recently included writing and directing to his billing. He spent his pandemic starting an online bingo business, but can't wait to get back to not doing that.
“Just A Ghoul” originally started as a comedy sketch about dating. Both JJ and I were both in a place in our lives where dating felt like constantly chasing a vague notion, more than a person. Everyone has baggage, and it’d be interesting if those issues followed you into the afterlife? Not just dating issues, but anything on your to-do list that you’d been putting off. Death doesn’t give any release from your problems; it just makes it impossible to not confront them. Like if death isn’t the end, so much as it is a security guard checking your ID. You haven’t made the changes in your life while you’re alive, you’re gonna have to make them before you get into Club Death, buckaroo.
In our story, Billy and Maura can’t blame their issues on the Tinder algorithm messing up. For better or for worse, the laws of death means somebody has to do some soul-searching and make some real change to move on to the next thing. Dead or alive.
