Julius Banzon is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in the Inland Valley in the city of Fontana, he moved to Berkeley for his undergraduate studies, then moved back to Southern California. He received a degree from the California Institute of the Arts Film Directing MFA program. He directed for an unfinished project under professional industry producers and is now working on editing that footage as his third non-traditional short subject or short feature on the history of the Los Angeles suburb of Lakewood, based on the memoirs of D.J. Waldie. His goal is to create a feature narrative that combines his various interests, accumulated pedagogies, and specific American upbringing.
