In "July." Tarjei meets his old friends during the summer holidays, some years after they left
high school. In the pressing summer heat, old loves flourish and everything seems to be as it once was. But when the group is faced with a difficult choice during a childish game, Tarjei involuntarily witnesses his own moral shortcomings and begins to question everything he holds dear.

Director Biography - Mauritz Brekke Solberg

Mauritz took his Bachelor in directing at Westerdals in Oslo and started the production company Férdi Film with 5 partners right out of school. His short documentary "Skeleton Sea" attended festivals around the world, was sold to schools in Canada and is now on Amazon Prime. Mauritz's bachelor project "Birthright" got attention when it ended up in the final of Student-BAFTA 2018 and the project is now in development as a TV drama in collaboration with the acclaimed production company Motlys and producer Yngve Sæther. Mauritz has often written and co-directed projects with his colleague Daniel Fure Schwarz. “Juli.” is his first short as a solo director.
