Bonnie Black (Director): An LA-based filmmaker born in Houston and raised in NYC. As the daughter of seasoned theatre and film actors, storytelling is in her DNA. She graduated with honors from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a major in Film and Video Production. Her senior thesis film, Brute, was selected to screen at the Nitehawk Shorts Festival in Brooklyn where it screened alongside films by various accredited directors including David Cronenberg.
After working in production on Richard Linklater’s Boyhood and various reality shows (The Voice, Undercover Boss, Buddy's Bakery Rescue), Bonnie relocated full-time to LA to serve as post producer at a creative design studio focused on main title design and VFX for major motion pictures, television shows and networks. During this time she also directed branded short form and commercial social media content. Bonnie subsequently transitioned into unscripted TV development while continuing to freelance and write and direct her own projects. As a producer and director, her clients have included MTV, FX, TBS, CNN, NBC, CBS, Warner Brothers, Bacardi, Amazon, Netflix, Beats, and Google.
