Director Statement

The story tackles themes of man's search for an escape and the ruthless power of addiction.
I have struggled with addiction myself and have witnessed it's destructive nature take a toll on family and friends. I have lost friends to drugs and seen relationships torn apart. Addiction is still very much stigmatized by our society, causing shame and guilt to many people associated with it. I hope my short film can serve as a reminder to look at addiction not as a weakness in a person's moral fiber but instead as a mental illness and often a cry for help.
