Jose A Renteria Jr. is a Writer/Director that is based in Los Angeles. Before COVID19 hit he was working as an A.D. for the web series “Lowrider Role Model.” After graduating from film school, he worked on several independent projects. Projects that were self-funded from various side jobs, and also with the help from people who believed in him. These side jobs also contributed to the many ideas for scenes and dialogue that came from his work experience. His biggest accomplishment was finishing the feature film, “Betty I Am,” that was screened in a few film festivals; including the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival, earning the best film award. His dream is to be a working writer/director for both film and television.
