Director Biography - Charles Comer, Tamell Bailey

Big Bailey aka Tamell Bailey of SMS Entertainment is an emerging spoken word poet and hip-hop artist. He is a multi-talented entertainer who also is capable of audio engineering, audio production, graphic designs, video editing, and artist development as the President of SMS Entertainment by night. By day he is professionally a computer technician with a Master's in Information Technology and also a TurboTax Product Expert. He was born in Queens, New York, and raised in Langley, South Carolina while currently calling Aiken, South Carolina his home. He delivers a blend of poetry with hip-hop/rap that he likes to call spoken rap. He has been known to emphasize social consciousness and positivity through his writing and performances.

Big Bailey's album Never Quit On Your Dreams has recently won the award for best album at the Fairfield Music Awards. He has recently won the Issa Vibe Open MIc contest presented by TracLayer. He was nominated for 4 Southern Plug Music Awards 2022 including breakout artist of the year. He has been featured in Southern Plug magazine, Voyage ATL magazine, Shoutout ATL magazine, The Aiken Standard, and VPN magazine. He was also nominated as the best-spoken word artist in the CSRA Hip-Hop Awards. His poetry has also been featured on “The Digital Poet” website and the Aiken Poets’ Rhyme Time Anthology.
