My name is John Robert Franklin and I'm an Atlanta-based actor, musician, and writer. My passion for creating comes from something deep down that I don't pretend to understand. I just know that whether it's on the page, the screen, or in the soundwaves, something continues to call to me. So for that, I live.

I was born and raised in Southeast Florida to a hard-working middle-class family, with parents who wanted to give my sister and me everything. I'm a third-generation Italian from my mother's side, by way of New York, and a third-generation mutt on my father's side, by way of Alabama.

I started playing baseball at the young age of 3 and followed that athletic trajectory into college. When I finished my athletic career I decided to trade one stage for another and went from stadium lights to stage lights. I received my B.A. in Theatre from Florida Atlanta University at the age of 23 and have been pursuing a career in the arts ever since.
