Joe Moon is a Korean American writer, director and a veteran of the United States Army. After serving two tours in the Middle East as a Cavalry Scout, Joe left the military and moved to New York City for a career in Advertising. In his first few years as a copywriter, Joe broke ground with conceptual, innovative campaigns that are still celebrated and studied all over the world today. He's received global recognition for his creativity and is a recipient of various awards like Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show, and Webbys.
Having collaborated with major studio directors on national ad campaigns, Joe is now writing and directing stories of his own — centered around themes of perseverance and strengths of the human spirit.
Joe is a fellow of the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project and the Daily Show with Trevor Noah's Writing/Production Program. He was raised in Philadelphia and now resides in Los Angeles.
