Joana Pimenta is graduated in Cinema, at Estácio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has specialization in Cinematographic Direction by Septima Ars, Escuela de CINE y TV - Madrid, Spain, and in Cinema Interpretation at the New York Film Academy in New York. She wrote, produced and directed four short films, three of which were fiction and one documentary; worked as assistant director in the feature film "Heleno", by José Henrique Fonseca, and in TV Record soap operas "Rebelde" and "Rei Davi". Joana has worked on eleven theatrical performances, the last being, "What next?" (2018) with debut at Casa Rio, as the producer and actress. She has researched and created a fictional series project that was developed for a public call PRODAV / ANCINE, entitled "Bia e Analu". During the Covid-19 social isolation, “Bia e Analu” was transformed into a web series and is on the air at IGTV, in which she is the creator, author, screenwriter, producer and actress.
