Justin Arwood is a filmmaker based in Wichita, KS. Having graduated college with degrees in finance and accounting (plus an M.B.A.), Justin discovered his love for film at a later age than most. He currently works as the Director of Photography for a megachurch in Kansas and is working towards the goal of directing feature films.
Science fiction has been one of my favorite genres for as long as I can remember, so I’ve always wanted to make a film in this space. However, my script ideas quickly outpace my desired level of production, so a huge goal of this project was to keep it small and on a scale I knew was possible.
Originally, the set was actually constructed in my garage, and I planned on shooting the project with the help of a couple friends. But so many incredible people joined the project and it turned into so much more than I could have ever hoped to accomplish on my own.
Connection is an enormous aspect of our lives. I think a lot of people, myself included, sometimes feel that they don’t belong, and that’s exactly where we find our character in this story. I’m so incredibly proud of the film we’ve created and I hope it gives a little solace to all those that feel alone.
