Jikirag
The year is 1263 A.D. A pagan village is scarcely surviving in isolation and fending off starvation when the children of the town start disappearing into the darkness of the woods. As this vicious plague overcomes the village some say the forest is cursed and consuming the population. As the pestilence devours the village the last surviving elder must battle madness in order to save her people from not only themselves but the monstrous deity that burrows up from below.
The hour of judgement has come. Will the village repay their debt in time to save themselves or will the blackness of the forest consume them all.

Alexander J. Baxter, Leigah Keewatin, and Jessica Moutray are the formidable trio behind the haunting darkness of "Jikirag". Each director brings their unique background and expertise, creating a diverse and comprehensive approach to their filmmaking process.
Alexander, the founder and CEO of Constellate Films, is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. He is best known for his historical horror feature "Jikirag", and his in-development primordial sci fantasy series "Pyre". Prior to founding Constellate Films, Alexander spent 4 years working as an actor, appearing on some notable shows such as "DC Legends Of Tomorrow" and "Man in The High Castle".
Jessica, with a background in music and a passion for horror films, has found her calling in the film industry. She has worked in various roles, from acting to assistant directing, and has been instrumental in bringing unique stories to life at Constellate Films. Her passion for character development and storytelling is evident in her work including her directorial debut in the short film "Shade". As a producer, she has demonstrated her exceptional ability to bring projects to fruition, as seen in the successful production of the short film "Exalted".
Leigah, a Cree filmmaker from rural Alberta, Canada, draws inspiration from nature and her indigenous heritage. She has made a name for herself as a producer, director, production designer, and visual effects artist. Her most recent work includes her post-production supervision and VFX role in the critically acclaimed feature film "Colorblind" and her producing and production design work for various short films like "Moshpit" and "For Her".
Together, this trio has created a synergy that has resulted in unforgettable cinematic experiences, challenging audiences to re-examine their own fears and perceptions.
Our goal as directors is to bring a different perspective to how we look at blood, death, and gore. What we currently view as good and evil may not be what we currently think, it might just be natural. "Jikirag" will be an unforgettable film, not only because it is a hybrid of genres, but because it is a personal film wrapped in suspenseful ambience, chilling horror, and is a cerebral piece of cinema featuring unforgettable characters and thought-provoking actions. Using the real horrors and sinister possibilities of life, "Jikirag" will challenge audiences to re-examine their own fears while giving them an unforgettable cinematic experience. The hour of judgement has come. Will the village repay their debt in time to save themselves or will the blackness of the forest consume them all? We aim to expose the soul of "Jikirag" and bring out these beautifully flawed characters. With any luck, this memorable film will haunt the furthest corners of the imagination and inspire a new generation of artists. As storytellers, it is our goal to not only map our own journey into darkness, but to leave a path to follow, for many dreamers to come.
