Jeru Berry is a Writer, Director and Actor from Boston, MA. Growing up in the Suffolk County area presented its challenges but also gave a unique outlook on not only the world he lived in but also the greater world that surrounded his neighborhood.

A set of values gained from mother and grandmother, watching them work hard to make the best of what they had. His principles rooted in the neighborhoods of Boston he called home. Neighborhoods that he feels have always been left out of the Boston narrative. He looks to change that.

His interest in filmmaking and entertainment started as a child but didn’t seem feasible until he turned 18. It was then that Jeru spent two years in community college at Bunker Hill, taking a variety of different courses until he was ready to transfer to his "dream school". Jeru then attended Emerson College and spent three years there studying film. That is where Jeru created a student organization and birthed the idea of his production company HYYER Entertainment.

The future looks optimistic for Jeru, as he hopes to build on the things he's learned.
