Beyond The Beyond
Tension crackles between Selma and Mark during their trip in the hearse. But their plans are disrupted by a dim-witted petty criminal who sneaks into the car while they’re out buying condoms. When they discover him, a fight breaks out, which Selma, as an artist, captures in her sketchbook. Using a trick, the crook wins the fight and tries to steal the car but can’t get it to start, so he reluctantly takes Selma and Mark hostage instead.

In BEYOND THE BEYOND, I wanted to bring life and death together in an absurd way. It’s about young people who find themselves in a chaotic adventure between a hearse and a love game. Quirky twists bring the story to life and keep things moving. Through animations, the short film explores Selma’s inner world, complementing the scenes and amplifying the grotesque moments, while the serious tones never overpower the lightness.
