Jen is the proud author of Confessions of a Casting Director, published by HarperCollins. She has written op-eds and personal essays for USA Today, Newsweek, The NY Daily News, The Forward, and Kveller. Her short fiction has been published in the Jewish Literary Journal and Of the Book. Jen writes about her passion for running and her career in Animation at Everything is Animated on Substack and Medium. She holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU and received an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation grant for her script Lucy in the Sky, now a short film starring Whoopi Goldberg. She is a two-time recipient of the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation Award and has twice won the Fusion Film Festival TV writing award. Jen is an adjunct professor in the film department at the University of New Mexico where she teaches TV writing.
