Jen began her foray into filmmaking in high school in the late 80's and continued to college to study communications and video production. She took some detours along the way, including a stint as a professional cyclist and a secondary math teacher. She incorporated short films into her educational curriculum. After shifting gears once again she is in search of stories of people who have faced serious life challenges and overcome them with grace. She has worked on various other productions as a PA, assistant DP, and assistant director and is now jumping in as a solo filmmaker.

"Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones."
