Born in Vancouver, Canada, Jenn first fell in love with movement through competitive figure skating. She completed a BFA in dance and a BA in English literature from Simon Fraser University in 2010, after which she studied contact improvisation on a scholarship at EDAM. From 2010-2012, she co-directed Triadic Dance Works, a collective that performed extensively in Vancouver as well as Seattle and Berlin.
From 2013 to 2015, Edwards was based in Europe and toured with Vienna’s Flowmotion Dance Company through Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, London, Turkey, The Middle East, India, Brazil, and Mexico. Jenn has showcased her own choreography at Fusion Festival (Berlin), 12 Minutes Max (Vancouver and Seattle), Vines Art Festival, To.Be.Announced, New Blue Dance (Toronto), Your Dance Fest (Toronto), and Fringe Festivals across Canada. Choreographic residencies include The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, SFU Woodwards, Mascall Dance’s BLOOM series, and Garage Performing Arts Centre (Corfu, Greece).
