Jelle Havermans (1994) is a visual artist and writer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Central themes in his work are the depiction of violence and the macabre, cinematic language and the aesthetics of forensic imagery. His style often consists of combining documentary-style filmmaking and fiction. He graduated at the Breitner Academy in 2016 and graduated Cum Laude at the Master of Fine Art at The Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2021. Aside from his artistic work, he published his first novel at Blossom Books in 2022 and occasionally writes for Dutch newspapers and magazines.
