Jasper Lee is an artist from central Alabama who makes videos, installations and music. Themes running through his work include alchemy, experimental ethnography, contemporary approaches to ritual, metaphysics, superstition and the folklore of Southern Appalachia. His work with the moving image has included composing scores for feature films (You're Next), directing music videos and creating art films which have screened at festivals internationally. He is a performer and organizer in the experimental music scene of Birmingham, where he curates the label Sweet Wreath and plays in the groups Silica Gel and Witch Grass.
