Hunter Armstrong is an aspiring filmmaker currently studying at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. His interest in films began in middle school, creating small projects for family celebrations and holidays. His fascination only expanded in high school. He took several speech classes and created short videos for the high school news programs during his senior year.
Hunter has enjoyed studying in the Communication Department. He will be studying at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center in Los Angeles, CA in the fall of 2018 and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Media Production from Northwestern. His previous works include Identity, which earned the nomination for Best Music Video at the 2017 Five16 Film; The Christmas Note; Good Cop, Bad Cop; The Eleventh Hour; and Hallelujah.
I was honored to have the opportunity to travel to Des Moines, Iowa in August 2017 and record this interview. We shot this interview for the University of Northwestern's Disability Awareness Week. It was such a privilege to meet with Jason and hear his story.
