Moïse Kabongo (1992)
Born in Kinshasa where he spent the first 9 years of his life, then he moved to Belgium.
He discovered the art of music through the Afro Rap/Hip Hop movement and by the age of sixteen, he started writing poetry, with this, he discovered his ability to lose his introversion and to express himself to the world. Few years later, he embraced a newfound passion for photography. He saw images and poetry to be connected. Nowadays he lives in London finishing his degree in Fine Art.
From NY to London to Paris the ballroom scene became a way to express and celebrate the freedom of being who you are.
After a year of raving in the most famous Queer party in London (Pxssypalace) I started to wonder what the voguing scene meant or represented in other countries with a different mindset toward the lgbttti community . This is how I ended up in Mexico City where I met La Mendoza and started this journey through her eyes.
