Originario de Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco. Imanol Vidal Martínez Avendaño es Egresado de la Licenciatura en Artes Audiovisuales del Departamento de Imagen y Sonido (DIS) en CUAAD de la Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG) se ha desempeñado en distintas ramas de la cinematografía como la dirección, fotografía y edición, con un amor especial por el género documental.

Ha participado en cursos y diplomados como Taller de fotografía evolución (2015), Diplomado en Cine por Universidad de Guadalajara (2017-2018) y Taller Documental: Cómo hacer una película de principio a fin – Asociación Mexicana de Cinefotografía AMC (2020), Taller de escritura y desarrollo de proyectos documentales DOCS MX (2023).

Productor y fundador del Festival de Cine, Arte y Diseño (CAD) Autlán (2019-2021), proyecto que busca crear una interacción entre la sociedad y el arte de contar historias, transmitir emociones por medio de imágenes y sonidos.

Beneficiario de la Beca Grodman para la Producción artísticas de poyectos de titulación (2021) y del fideicomiso Proyecta Producción (2022) de la secretaría de Cultura de Jalisco.

Galardonado con el Premio de la Juventud en la categoría de Arte y Cultura por parte del Instituto de la Juventud en Autlán de Navarro (2021).

From Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, Imanol Vidal Martínez Avendaño is a graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Department of Image and Sound (DIS) at CUAAD, University of Guadalajara (UDG). He has worked in various aspects of filmmaking, including direction, cinematography, and editing, with a particular love for the documentary genre.

He has participated in courses and programs such as the “Evolution” Photography Workshop (2015), the Film Diploma Program at the University of Guadalajara (2017-2018), and the Documentary Workshop: How to Make a Film from Start to Finish by the Mexican Association of Cinematography (AMC) (2020), as well as the Documentary Writing and Development Workshop DOCS MX (2023).

Imanol is the producer and founder of the Autlán Film, Art, and Design (CAD) Festival (2019-2021), a project aimed at fostering an interaction between society and the art of storytelling, conveying emotions through images and sounds.
