Friends from Jancido

Jancido, located in the parish of Foz do Sousa in Gondomar, Portugal, is a place full of history and local traditions. From the Midões line used in the transport of ores between 1856 and 1927 to the mills, constructions with more than 200 years that worked until 1979.

Here, in this region full of nature, with an extensive variety of fauna and flora and bathed by the Sousa river, we will find the group of five friends. These volunteers, with love for their land and the legacy of their ancestors, are dedicated to restore the line of mills and this place through cleaning, planting native species and making other interventions that are reflected in the dynamization of the space and its village.
