In past lives, James Strayer has been an assistant to Gus Van Sant, an experimental record label drone, and a video production company co-owner. Through each of these incarnations, the through line was always that of being a massive fan of horror in all mediums. While it started as a love of being scared and an attraction to all the spooky aesthetics, it has developed into a way to see new stories and empathize with almost anyone.

His favorite thing is when the black clad horror loving weirdoes are the nicest people in the room. Channeling his inner Dale Cooper, James hopes that Please Leave can not only be a great place to find horror stories but also a place to build a community and truly be of service to those who need.
